I am the Assistant Learn to Skate Director at the Pond.  I began skating at the age of two and have been teaching since the age of seventeen, at Garfield Heights, Gilmour Academy, and the Pond.  While at Kent State from 1984 through 1989, I also taught gym, learn to skate, and was involved in the Special Olympics.

I currently teach learn to skate tots through adults, competitive freestyle, moves in the field, synchronized skating, individuals with disabilities, and frequently coach my skaters in local competitions.

I am also the proud mother of three wonderful children:  two figure skaters and one hockey player.

I can be reached at 440-799-1010  or  mraposeli@att.net

I am a PSA member and hold my Basic Accreditation.  I began skating in 1998 and have passed my Intermediate Moves in the Field, Pre-Juvenile Freestyle, and Pre-Bronze Dances.  I began teaching group lessons in 2000 in Cincinnati.  I attended Bowling Green State University where I was a member of their Collegiate synchronized skating team, The Falconettes from 2002-2006.  I competed in three US Synchronized Skating National Championships at the Collegiate level.  While attending BGSU I taught group and private skating lessons in Bowling Green and Findlay, OH.  I relocated to Cleveland in early 2007 and took a small break from skating returning to the ice in August 2010.

I teach Basic Skills, Freestyle, Moves in the Field, and coach The Pond's Open-Juvenile Synchronized Skating Team.  While I enjoy all of the skating disciplines, my favorite is synchronized because it brings the team dynamic to an otherwise very individual sport.

I can be reached by phone at 330-441-2751 or by e-mail at debriley02@hotmail.com
